Pastoral Council Leadership
Qualities
Our Parish needs Christian leadership to help
make decision about our pastoral life and growth. please help
identify persons in this faith community who enable us to develop
our sense of Evangelization, Worship, Word, Service, Community,
Stewardship, and Leadership.
Pastoral Council members should have the
following abilities/gifts:
- You need to be open to the gifts of the
Holy Spirit, and he will open to you the gifts needs for
Pastoral Council.
- You need to open and willing accept
change.
- Be able to speak to a single person, a
small group (5 to 10 people) and/or large gatherings
(announcements at mass). You don't need to be able to do
all but some Communication/Listening skills would be nice.
- Be able to look past problems that you
might have with someone so that we can work as a team to
accomplish the tasks at hand.
- Be able to support others as we
continue to move through the many transitions and changes
that occur in our Parish.
- Time Commitment: Several hours a month.
- The ability to provide and or enhance
the visionary planning and goal setting by supporting the
Parish Mission Statement.
- The ability to let PRAYER and God's
LOVE guide us in our decisions.

Since this is not a council of representatives,
there is no need to consider representation of age groups.
Nevertheless, we do need individuals whose maturity level allows
them to be secure, confident, and comfortable dealing with
consensus and conflict. This type of maturity often comes with
experience and age.
Please forward the name of a parishioner whom
you identify as having the gifts for Pastoral Council leadership.
The people will receive a call to inform them that they have been
named, and ask them to participate in an information session.
They will have the option to remain in the selection process or
not.
Please forward your name to:
pastoralcouncil@stclementschurch.com or drop a note off at the
Parish Office with your recommendation. Thank you for your
suggestions. Please pray for the selection of Pastoral Council
leadership in our Parish.
